Thomas Carper bought 30k in $PSQ, an ultrashort $QQQ index, on July 13 2023. He hedged/shorted in the past with great results with $HDGE, $SH & $PSQ. He got out of his positions in August/September, as the market fell and he sold for a cool +15%.

Before the vaccines were announced, Carper held $RMD, $APO, and $OHI. On 07/09 he sold his positions in $RMD, $APO, $OHI. Two weeks later, $RMD drops 15% on vaccine news (no need for ventilators), $APO / $OHI 10-20% over 3 months. Now all down significantly since then.

Senator Thomas Carper bought up to $110k in Ranger Equity Bear Bear ETF, $HDGE, as well as $SH, and $PSQ, more short ETFs again in 2022!!! He sits on the Senate Finance Committee. He sold all three for large gains back in 2022, and repeated the same trade this year!!!

On 2020-11-2, he purchased $FTNT, a cybersecurity company that Congress oversees. He was up 213%. He Chairs Committee on Homeland Security, and also bought $MOS and was up 60%. It is used for potash and fertiilizer, both affected during the Ukraine war.
